Experience Hawaiian Charm in Waikiki
The Laylow - Autograph Collection
Oahu, known as “the gathering place”, lives up to its nickname being the most populous of the Hawaiian Islands and for attracting millions of travelers from around the globe annually, like ourselves. Prior to our trip, we made sure to research hotel accommodations that would allow us to continue social distancing and follow safety guidelines. After learning more about the regulations set in place, we found a serene oasis that is centrally located in Waikiki, a popular hotel and resort area for tourists, called The Laylow – Autograph Collection.
We loved our stay at The Laylow because of the fantastic work they are doing to provide guests with a stress-free visit. The hotel continues to adhere to the safety protocols that are set in place by the CDC, Word Health Organization, and the Hawaii Department of Public Health. Due to the number of outdoor areas that surround the lobby level, it made for the perfect socially distanced hotel without having to worry about interacting with others. The open-air design and lush greenery that surrounds the pool, front desk, and coffee bar offered its own Hawaiian oasis within an impeccably decorated hotel. Upon checking in for our stay, the front desk staff provided us with a warm welcome and asked for our Hawaii Safe Travels QR code, which allowed the state to monitor where we are staying for contact tracing purposes.
Our hotel room was located on the corner of the top floor and offered 180-degree views of Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head volcano, and the surrounding city. One of our favorite features was the vibrant palm tree wallpaper that elevated the vintage Hawaiian accents located throughout the room. The overall level of comfort made us feel right at home. We took advantage of all the amenities the hotel had to offer including the pool, afternoon Hawaiian shave ice stand, coffee bar, and nightly live music at The Hideout restaurant. We highly recommend The Laylow for any traveler who is looking for accommodations that offer hospitable staff, beautiful views, delicious food, and relaxing spaces.
Hawaii is open for travelers if you follow the steps necessary to protect yourself and others. We had such a fantastic time and hope that as you begin to get back OUT there Hawaii will be on the top of your list. The Hawaiian Islands offer something for everyone and to highlight a few activities, we created videos of our time on the island. Watch and learn more.
