HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO VISIT PARADISE? SHANGRI-LA MACTAN RESORT IS THE EPITOME OF AN ISLAND PARADISE.
We were fortunate to stay at the 32 acre Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa in Cebu for three days and two nights. We arrived at the resort at 4:30 am and immediately greeted with welcoming faces and a delicious breakfast buffet. After eating, we had the option to either take a nap before starting our day or dive right into a day of paradise. Obviously being the adventurous boys that we are, we decided to stay awake and tackle our first day in the Philippines.
First order of business? THE BEACH!
We visited the private beach located on the property to watch the sunrise and relax with an early morning mango cocktail. The private beach had water sports available including paddle boarding, snorkeling and jet skiing. What do you do at 8AM in the morning? Jet ski of course. With the sun rising on our backs and the resort on the horizon, we rode the jet skis over the waves and around the bay. Looking over the edge of the jet ski, the crystal clear water was unlike anything you will ever see. Check out or time at the beach below!
Over the next two days we ate cuisine from different restaurants on the property, consumed a lot of wine under the starry night sky and sat along the shore as waves crashed onto the beach. We got a massage at the Incredible Chi Spa. We continued to take advantage of the water sports, especially on our last day as a final farewell to this amazing resort property. The parts we loved most were waking up to the sunrise over the ocean each morning, the private beach and all the activities it offered, plus the amazing Chi Spa. It's always important to treat yourself when you travel, and our massage was exactly what we needed after a long journey to the Philippines.
Overall, when you make your way to Cebu, we highly recommend you book your stay at the Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa. There is something for everyone on the property and you won't be disappointed!
